O how my heart aches for the Jewish people! When speaking or writing about the Holocaust I used to say or write that the Jewish people were "killed"... but to say these people were killed takes away from the horror of the truth. I fear that people in this day and time have forgotten of rather quickly pass by the truth, much like the priest that passed quickly by the dying man (see Luke 10). We study the Holocaust in our World History Books, we turn the page and don't look back. Are our eyes to sensitive to look upon these horrors?  May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob forgive us for this! I fear for my beloved country (America). How are we to keep this country in the right if we learn not from the past? The Holocaust is an example of what happens to a country when the people close their eyes to the sin that dwells within it. This example screams loud! Can you not hear it? No, indeed you cannot... that is the sound of silence. It is is the sound of the mass graves in Germany, It is the sound of the ash spread across Poland... it is the sound of death. How can we ignore it? It screams loudest of all! I beg you! open up your eyes and ears to the truth! not only to the truth of the past Holocaust, but of the Holocaust around us. Babies are aborted everyday in the United States. We turn away from their silent screams. We are in the midst of a spiritual Holocaust, it takes place all around us. It is a Holocaust that claims souls.
